I was dreaming of my train ride on the Amalfi Coast a few years ago! There’s no food on the planet that’s any better than the food in Italy!

The Hip Couple that live in my building invited me to a very civilized Sunday afternoon of brunch followed by perusing an “Open Studio” of resident artists’ galleries. I was super excited! I love brunch and art! Especially when it’s all located on gritty Spring Garden Street in sunny Philadelphia.

Fat ass, but so good
This was so much fun!!!! In addition to the biscuits and gravy, Tennessee offers The Old Mill. They make the candy right there for you. It was so much fun to watch, like taking a step back in time, which, being in Tennessee, to me back to the 1800′s. It sounds romantic, but they’re beating up gays in TN in 2011, I shudder to think what would happen to me in Tennessee in the 1800′s.
Sometimes modern day is so much more comforting. I’ll take social/cultural advancement with a little peppering of old school flair.
