Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 large lemon juiced
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger thinly sliced or grated
  • Honey or sweetener of choice optional

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add the thinly sliced or grated ginger to the boiling water.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the ginger simmer in the water for about 10 minutes to infuse its flavor.
  • After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the ginger-infused water using a fine mesh strainer into a teapot or directly into mugs.
  • Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the ginger-infused water. Stir well.
  • Taste the tea and sweeten with honey or your preferred sweetener if desired. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  • Pour the lemon ginger tea into mugs or teacups and serve hot.

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of ginger and lemon juice according to your taste preferences.
