Instructions
In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Add the thinly sliced or grated ginger to the boiling water.
Reduce the heat to low and let the ginger simmer in the water for about 10 minutes to infuse its flavor.
After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the ginger-infused water using a fine mesh strainer into a teapot or directly into mugs.
Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the ginger-infused water. Stir well.
Taste the tea and sweeten with honey or your preferred sweetener if desired. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
Pour the lemon ginger tea into mugs or teacups and serve hot.
