Ingredients
  

  • 6 ripe tomatoes diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves torn or chiffonaded

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the whole San Marzano tomatoes (with their juice) and salt. Mash the tomatoes with a potato masher to make a chunky sauce.
  • Stir in the chopped basil leaves.
  • Serve the sauce over cooked spaghetti or bucatini, garnished with additional basil.
